How PROCAD’s monthly subscriptions work

This is an explanation of PROCAD’s monthly subscriptions.

Ordering a monthly subscription can be beneficial to your company. Start your monthly subscription to fit your work schedule and stop whenever your project is complete.

Below are the conditions for acquiring a monthly subscription:

  • Monthly subscriptions are for standalone licenses and are not available for network licenses
  • Payment can only be made by using a valid credit card due to the monthly recurring charges
  • The first recurring invoice is charged to your credit card three days before the monthly license expires. Subsequent monthly payments are set to that date—see explanation below.
  • Monthly subscriptions can easily be converted to a one-year or three-year term by contacting sales@procad.com

The recurring monthly payments after you order the subscription are structured to allow customers to exercise control over their subscription.

For example, suppose you place the initial order for a monthly subscription on June 16th. In that case, your credit card will be charged for the next payment on July 13th, three days before the monthly subscription license automatic reactivation date. All future monthly payments are then charged on the 13th of each month, even though the software license expires on the 16th.

The reason for this time lapse between the initial enrollment date and the first recurring payment is to accommodate one of these two scenarios:

  1. Suppose your credit card monthly subscription payment is declined due to insufficient funds (NSF) or credit card security concerns by your credit card issuing bank. In that case, we take the following proactive steps:

We’ll try to rerun the transaction to ensure it wasn’t a glitch by your credit card issuing bank.

If this step fails, we will contact you during the three-day window between the declined payment and the time of license reactivation.
To address the issue, you can use a different credit card or contact the issuing bank to allow the transaction to go through.
This process helps prevent any disruption to the software usage if the license activation is stopped due to declined payment.
  2. When you receive the subscription’s recurring invoice three days before your monthly license expires in three days, you can cancel the subscription before the license is reactivated.
If the recurring payment was transacted on the same day as the license reactivation date, canceling the monthly subscription would not be possible until next month’s payment date.

So, a monthly subscription allows you to get your job done when you need the software and cancel it when you don’t.
