Modeler

3DSMART Modeler is the 3D modeling tool that runs within AutoCAD. This database-driven application provides designers with a full set of intelligent modeling tools for plant design, skid design, and other specialized construction. Features of 3DSMART Modeler include:

• Full integration with Project Manager, Specification Manager, ISOGEN, BOM Generator

Piping Design

The piping design module contains an extensive component library and automated tools that enable you to generate 3D piping models quickly and easily. Some of the most noteworthy features of this module are:

• Automated weld placement
• Automated gasket placement
• Automated flange set and flange/valve completion when placing all the necessary bolts, gaskets and flange

General Arrangement Plans and Sections

3DSMART Modeler generates 2D plans and sections easily in AutoCAD format drawings where you can add dimensions and annotations. 3DSMART generates 2D drawings through an easy-to-use interface.

Isometric Production

3DSMART uses Alias' Personal ISOGEN software for isometric production. You can select the lines and have their isometric drawing generated automatically with a bill of material, full dimensioning, notations and automatically opened in AutoCAD. Isometric production features include:

• Seamless integration with the 3DSMART Modeler
• Support of an unlimited number of isometric runs
• Ability to configure the drawing output options (ISOGEN only)

Steel Design
The Structural Steel module provides all the necessary tools to model complex steel structures. The user-friendly interface lets you insert & edit steel components quickly and easily. Features of this multifaceted module include:

• Coping, mitering and hole drilling
• BOM generation

• Ability to stretch or breaks steel members and other linear components
